With the Streetwise London metro map, you’ll be able to travel through London effortlessly, neighborhood to neighborhood from Mayfair to Kennsington, Chesea to Belgravia. All London’s surface rail stations are listed such as Euston, Blackfriars, Battersea, King's Cross St Pancras, Southwark, Fenchurch, Liverpool, Paddington and Waterloo. London Tube stations are indicated by the round red and blue London Transport signs. Service starts at 5am and ends around midnight. Purchase a ticket before getting on the train from either a vendor or a machine. Keep the ticket, which you will present to the guard or automated barrier at the end of your journey. Like the New York subway, some lines run along the same track and use the same platform so look at the lit-up sign above the platform to verify your destination. Prices depend on the length of the journey from one zone to another, not from station to station. One ticket takes you to your destination. HEATHROW AIRPORT is 14 miles from the center of London. The Piccadilly line will take you from Heathrow to Central London in about 40 minutes. GATWICK AIRPORT is 22 miles south of Central London. The Gatwick Express is a non-stop service running every 15 minutes between London Victoria Station and London Gatwick Airport. The trip takes about 30 minutes.
